How much does the humidity percentage matter when incubating bearded dragon eggs?

I am incubating dragon eggs and i read in one one book about dragons that you should keep the humidity at between 75 to 85 percent but some reason my level is only ranging fron 40 to 60 percent. When i first put the eggs in vermiculite i first add water to the vermiculite until i can only squeze one or two drops out of it then i place the eggs in the vermiculite about two thirds the way up the eggs and then check the moiture about every week and the eggs stay good and full looking not dehidrated. Will the lower humidity slow down the growth rate of the babies in the eggs or cause other problems? If so how do i increase the humidity level? I do not want to add to much water because they say it might drown the developing babies. I keep the temp. between 83 to 85 degrees.

if you know anything about how to hatch a chicken with an incubator i need your help!?

ok. for my science prodject i have hatch 8 chickens using a incubator. (8chickens using a store bought incubator and 8 using a incubator giving me a grand total of 16 chickens)i have never hatched chickens in my life. i alredy know what kind of chicken i using. (one from the plymoth rock breed). I need to know where to find an incubator. (a website or a store in southern califorina would be helpful) i also need a brooder. I also need tips/instructions on how to hatch a chicken. i have a book and ive been to the library but they only had one book on the subject that proved helpful to me. (i know thats stupid). I also need to know exactly what i need to carry out this part of my prodject. (such as a supply list) Thanks any help is greatly appreciated
